i've seen what faith can do

Dear Lovies,

I THINK THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING QUOTE I EVER READ IN MY LIFE! so naturally I must share with you!
I found this quote: "I find beauty in not only the beautiful things in life, but the bittersweet and sad as well. To me, there is something poignantly lovely about the human experience from its splendor to its grief. God created all our emotions, not just the happy ones, and for His good purposes. That's why a good cry can feel so good. And hitting our limits forces us to look outside ourselves for a Savior. It is in the plea, when we're at our end, that we can find that which is truly life-giving. Personally, my moments of deepest grief, deepest pain, have resulted in the most beautiful seasons in my heart. I've met God more intimately in those moments than in all the other pleasant ones combined. What isn't completely lovely about that?"

So, speaking of Jesus . . . I AM GOING TO TELL YOU A LITTLE STORY!!

If you have read my other post you would know My faith has been tested a lot lately. I started to feel so far away from God. If you are reading this and you know me you know that MY FAITH is the most important thing to me in the world. I am not telling you this because I think you should believe like I do but because this is my BLOG and I can write about whatever I so please. So, I am going to tell you first a funny story . . . then a serious one.

I was bored with all the stations in my car so I was pressed seek and on comes 96.7. I thought it was a country station, boy was I excited because in NY there is no country music stations! So, for 3 days I am listening to this station and loving it. However I am going wow a lot of these songs are about Jesus, then the man on the radio starts talking about JESUS and praying for everyone. I wasn't listening to a country station I was listening to a Christian Rock station. I just assumed this whole time the songs were more Rock because of the topic. This came at a great time for me- listening to the station and hearing the prayers really helped me get closer to God. This now leads us to serious story . . .

I decided I was finally going to go to church. I decided that 2 weeks ago, that although I was still iffy on my faith I was going to go. I didn't go that first Sunday because I was at the Jersey Shore (no i didn't put the shore before God but like I said I WAS HAVING MY ISSUES!! don't judge) ANYWAYS back to my story - - - FIRST DAY BACK IN CHURCH - - - the Gospel was: Matthew 14:22-33 Its about Jesus and Peter walking on water. How Peter at first did not have faith in Jesus but called out for him to save him and Jesus did (well read it you'll understand what I am talking about) - - well the priest gave the most amazing Homily - - that felt like if it was just for me. . . . I literally started crying a little in church . . . and I didn't even care! He went on to say sometimes we do not understand why things happen in life. We go away from God and think he isn't listening and he cant help us. Sometimes we think we are not strong enough but all we need to do is reach out to God and say "Lord, save me" and he will. Wellllllll let me tell you that was all I needed just a little nudge to bring me back.

I was not sure if I wanted to share this with you because it is about religion and people get all weird about it but I share everything else and this is the most important thing in my life and well I'M NOT ASHAMED and VERY GREAT-FULL my parents baptized me and I am Catholic.

and this is what I hope for you:
I hope that no matter what you are going through or who you pray to that you realize life gets better. . . there is a reason for everything. . . and in time the reasons come to light and it heals all. I hope you have someone to pray to and if you do not and you are content good for you but if you are not content and struggling just try having some faith in something whoever it maybe Jesus, Allah, Yahweh, Buddha, Gods & Goddesses, or whatever it so be, see how your life will change.
